Now with Traffic Trends too!
We've been providing traffic estimates for millions of sites for several weeks now, but a traffic estimate only gives you a feel for the here and now. What does it mean that a site has 1M visitors now, is that up or down?
In our second new feature of the day, we can provide some perspective for you. Many site profiles (already well over 100k, and more to follow) on the Quantcast site now include daily traffic estimates for the prior 6 months. For example, a quick look at youtube.com reveals the phenomenal growth that justified their $1.65B acquisition by Google.
Every chart tells a story, some good such as YouTube, some not so good and some providing early indications of a busy holiday shopping season.
Nice graphics of traffic! Seems to me that some publishers might be interested in a facility to display this graph on their site directly from the Quantcast server using an embedded script on their web page (similar to the capability that Alexa provides).
